OK This is try number two for the first posting. First one didn't get saved somehow and is now floating forever in cyberspace. I spoke of taking my 130 pound rotti,Tank, to work yesterday so one of the ministers (I work in the office of a church) who has 6 dogs of his own could meet him. Tank had a wonderful day; since I have gone back to work he has been a lonely house dog. We will repeat this adventure more often after the Texas summer heat takes a hike...that will not be until the end of September if we are lucky but more likely October. For an old yankee who has spent 25+ years in tropical climes this Texas heat is really tough. My yard is brown....no summer garden this year....have to wait until fall. So that was sort of how I began and then I shifted gears and reminded myself that I had a blog once before for a short while. If you want to check it out go to Bestyearyet.blogspot.com. It was actually begun as an attempt to work through a conversation on grief. I share that with you as a warning just in case grief is not a conversation you care to visit today. My son E and his wife are in the process of buying an acre of land near the Guadeloupe River. The land comes with a membership in a resort that is right on the river. They went and stayed at the resort last weekend and the rest of us (daughter and 12 year old granddaughter and 2+ grandson) visited on Sunday. It is a new way to be in the water for me. We floated (actually walked beside tube with grandson inside) down the river ....very peaceful. It is exciting to think that we will be able to enjoy that spot anytime we want soon. When I become a bit more savvy I will include pictures. OK this is enough for one day. It has been fun starting this process.
Hi Motime I am new.....more later
